need memory that will match up to what i have now

i have a samsung cn 0522 pc3200u-30331-z, which is a 512 mb ddr ccc pc 3200 cls.
i purchased a super talent memory 1gb kit 2x512 mb ddr-400 pc3200 32mx8 cl3. when i installed them it would not wrk. i had no input to my monitor. i want atleast 1 gig, so what should i get that will work in comparison to what is already in my puter.
 
What motherboard are you using?

Did you try taking the Samsung out and just using the Super Talent RAM? Do you know if the Super Talent specifies a certain voltage for operation?
