I have a set of Paradigm Monitor 7 front speakers and a CC-370 Center Channel Speaker, both of which are version 1. I am in need of matching surrounds (not bookshelf) to go with these speakers. I do not know what the model number of the surrounds produced at that time, but my local McIntosh/Paradigm Dealer told me that any Monitor speaker from v1, v2, v3 will be an acoustic match for my existing set up, this is due to the fact that Paradigm used the same driver design in all 3 versions.

Both the Monitor 7 and CC-370 use 5.25" (i think) woofers that are 8ohm with 120watts of power handling abilities. I would like to find the Paradigm surround model that shares those same characteristics.

Their website will be able to link matching surround

If you can find the webpage for the model (or current) of what you have, on the right side it says "matching center or surround"

When I bought my Monitor 7's, and CC370, I was looking for the same thing. I bought a pair of Cinema surrounds (dipoles), because they used the same tweeter and matched to a degree. They sounded pretty good.

Later on, I found a pair of Mini Monitors on ebay really cheap, and moved the Cinema dipoles to the rear. I can really tell a difference, and the system is phenomenal.

There is a pair of matching dipoles, but I have forgotten the model. Make sure you don't confuse with the new line (where they blended the old monitor line with the atoms and titans)
They have redesigned the monitor line.

I have had little luck searching Paradigm's website.

The newer speakers version 4 and later are a tad brighter than the older versions.

I have version 4. They are similar to earlier versions. It is beyond version 4 where they redesigned the line and use an entirely different driver. According to the salesman, they redesigned the line to make them more efficient because similarly priced Klipsch speakers were sounding louder with less power.

Here is a photo of my theater room where I moved the Cinema surrounds to the rear and put the mini monitors on the side surrounds. I really love the match when playing surround audio:

My dad has Monitor 9s, a CC-370, and 4 ADP-370s (that's the model you're looking for). The fronts are all v3 and the rears are all v4. We haven't noticed an issue with this.

The 90 series is a complete redesign over the 70 series. I don't worry too much about the fronts matching the rears (I have Studio 40s in front and Polk R15s in the rear) but if you do you're going to want to stick with the 370s. The ADP-390s should be great speakers, however.

Thanks.

The versions 4 and up use a redesigned driver that is brighter than the one it replaced; it's not the same.

ADP-370. Those were the days...back when I had 5.1 (well, I had the references, but whatever)
