Okay, hey guys.
To start off, specs are:
AMD 64 3200+ (at 2.4 ghz)
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
1024MB Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM
160GB Seagate SATA 7200rpm
ATI 9800 Pro
SB Audigy 2 ZS
Windows XP
My main problem I belive is that there are tons of stuff slowing me down here. When I CTRL+ALT+DEL right now, I am getting a PF Usage of: around 315MB and CPU usage jumping around from 0, to 2, to 7, and 44 proceses running just now with Firefox, AIM, and XFire opened. That seems WAY too high. Idling with nothing opened at all, I am still in the 200's which just does NOT sound right. I disabled some stuff like Ipodservice, itunes helper, etc stuff like that in the msconfig thing, but I still cant help it from being that high.
I have ran the latest versions of Adaware SE and Spybot, as well as Norton 2004 Pro and I have no issues there it seems. Any advice for help here? Could this be a problem with game performance, since I do get lower FPS and such than I remember getting when I first set up the computer.
Thanks in advance for any help! 🙂
