Hello all,

I'm new to trying to perform video editing and need help getting started. Heres the scope of what I'd like to do.

We have a Hi8 video camera. My goal is to transfer the analog data to my computer, convert it to digital, then burn it tto DVD after editing out all the crap footage.

I already have the DVD burner (Pioneer A05). What hardware / software do I need to get?
