Need little help w/ labtop please...

Need another labtop. My budget is very limited around $1000 only.
I have my eye on Sony SR-33 w/ external CD drive, free XP upgrade for only $999.

Is there other company make small labtop? ( keep it under 3 lb w/out CD-rom and floopy, if possible)

Of course, if anyone can get me those Xp Tablet PC, I will be even happier.
