Need little help understanding the movie DONNIE DARKO

The movie was great, but I was little confused at the end.

Was Donnie crazy or was he able to travel back in time?

It reminds me of the movie JACOB's LADDER.

he chose to travel back in time to fix everyone else's life in exchange for sacrificing his own. By living, he was shown what his desire for chaos would create. (which was the bulk of the movie)

Whose life did he fix by travelling back? He didn't travel back far enough to change anything major... I'm confused by the movie.

Yes, but, after some research you'll learn that everyone is haunted by dreams from the tangent universe, and the pedo commits suicide on the golf course Donnie was found sleeping on. It's on their website but it's not very easy to get through.

You're kidding, right? You have to do RESEARCH on their WEB SITE to understand the movie? Ok, how many people have the time to do that?! What ever happened to the good old "watch it and understand without help of a MOVIE MANUAL"? 😉

Those kind of people don't rent movies about 6 foot tall bunnies telling a teen to go do bad things.
