So how bout it?? Anyone know of such a site that lists THX equipped theaters by city? Or how about theaters with digital projectors? I would love to see Two Towers in a digitally projected, THX theater (I'm in Minneapolis, MN btw). If such a list doesn't exist, someone needs to make one :)

Some theaters say they have THX auditoriums, but they never seem to tell ya what shows are playing in them! - big pet peeve. The only way I've ever been able to find out is to drive to the theater and ask. I can never find this info by calling the theater or by using the theater's web site. Anyone found a better way to get this info?

It's a similar comparison between analog tv vs. HDTV. A friend of mine saw a Episode II in one and said his jaw was dropped the entire movie because of the clarity and brightness of the picture. He had never seen anything like it before. I'd like to see it sometime and I figured TTT would be a good show to experiment with :)

Plus, if a digital projection system will set a theater back $150,000...it must be good.

I'm confused, why would you want to see TTT in a digitally projected theatre?

Well duh, EPII was filmed in digital.

To the best of my knowledge LOTR was not.

So even if a digital theater WAS showing it, the quality would be lower than that of a film based theater.

Episode II looked so good because it was filmed with a digital camera. TTT was not, so a digital projection theater wouldn't make much difference in this case.
