i just installed linux feddorra into my system and found out that my airlink pci adapter does not support linux. I looked around fry's to see if they had a linux compatible wireless pci card, but had no luck. One would think there would be at least somebody making a linux compatible wireless adapter somewhere... If anybody could tell me a place that sells a wireless G pci card that is linux compatible that would be a great help.. thnx

First find out what chipset the wireless card is. You may found that althouh airlink don't support it the chipset is supported. For example my asus motherboard came with a pci wireless card that has a ralink rt500 chipset which has an open source drivers. http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
You may even find that your airlink card has the same chipset http://ralink.rapla.net/

Once you have confirmed the chipset is not supported you can try ndiswrapper which will wrap the windows driver

You may want to check out Linksys. Alot of their network cards has drivers for Linux. Although I am not too sure if they provide tech support for Linux.
