Need links about audio compression schemes......

I am doing a report on how lossy audio compression is accomplished. So far I have looked about the Vorbis website and gotten some good info on it.

Does anyone have a link to a page that discusses how mp3s are actually compressed? What type of compression scheme does it use? wavelets??
