Need LCD suggestion

I am really thinking about buying a new LCD monitor as I could really use some of the desk space I am giving up with the old CRT. Up until now I have avoided LCD panels because when looking at stuff like spreadheets, word documents, and internet sites, words appear jagged and my eyes would hurt pretty bad within 30 minutes. (past experience with monitors at place of work) Anyway, i now use a nice sony monitor at work that makes text look like it did on my old CRT and the screen also even has some coating that makes it look like it has that glasslike coating, but without the reflection. I believe the Sony I have here cost somewhere around $350 6 months ago.

I have read some of the LCD buyers guide and now my head is spinning so i figured I would just get opinions: Can anyone recommend a good overall flat panel that would have a DVI input and cost less than $200 before tax or after rebate? I play games occasionally, but do more web sufing than anything, but would also use it a lot for spreadsheet apps. Would like to go big and great, but the $$ just isn't there.
