I have a Linksys KVM switch and a usb mouse and keyboard A Hanns-G 19" LCD Monitor. I have 2 USB to PS2 adaptors To use on the Mouse/Keybord to the switch. But can't get them to work! Does the KVM switch not work with USB to PS2 adaptors ?
Can't find any info about it.

USB to PS2 passive adapters only work on those mice/kbds designed to use them - they have to have special electronics inside to detect the connection and switch over. If your mse/kbd were capable of that, they would have come with the adapters. So if you want to use that KVM, you'll have to get PS/2 or combo compatible mse/kbd. Why didn't you get a KVM that supported USB mse/kbd input to begin with.

What Zepper said is correct. Passive adapters only do the job with specifically designed USB peripherals. It could also be that your KVM switch isn't providing enough power to them; but this is less likely. Test by using your USB to PS2 adapters to connect them directly to a computer.

There are active USB to PS2 adapters; but they seem to be quite rare(and not inexpensive). I was only able to find one, there are probably a few others.
