Need 'key' to the solution, replacement side locked now what?

I have this old Chieftec case that had a cracked windowed side. I ordered a replacement side w/o the plastic and fit it onto the case and snapped it shut. It came default locked I guess. It all supposes that a person would know where his key was after 10+ years. :disgust:

Very exasperating as I had worked on the system for the better part of a day to get it clean, change bad PSU, cable management, and fan replacements. It's up and running (cross fingers) for now, but I will eventually need a key for the case.

Do I call a locksmith or what? 😕

Can't you just pick the lock? All of the computer-related locks I've seen are circular with a notch and are easy to pick with a tube of some kind. I vaguely remember picking one with the back end of a pen after removing the end cap.

If you have those 5.25" drive racks, those also use the same type of security system, so it might be worth trying the keys from those if you have them. They all look the same, but the size can vary slightly.

Edit:

These maybe?

Notes: (1) These keys are designed as direct replacements for Chieftec cases, as such we guarantee them to work for Chieftec Mid-Towers / Full towers. They should also work on most related model cases made by Antec / Chenming / Thermaltake / Directron / Enermax. (2) This key design is fairly universal. The keys may also work on other non related computer cases.
Shipping might be a little gougy...might want to chat with them to see if they'll use First Class Mail instead.
