I have a laptop that I would like to serve double duty as an HTPC. I already have a logitech harmony remote, I just need a cheap IR dongle. Heres where I'm a little confused. I saw some dongles on dealextreme, but I think they are for nearfield IR communication, like with an old cell phone. They also have some cheap remotes bundled with a receiver, that seems like a safer bet. Does anyone have any recommendations on a cheap way to do this?
