Some intel boards don't seem to handle the PCI-E Express switch on the Gx2 cards well. Or maybe it is because the PCI-E in the P5W DH Deluxe might be 2x8 instead of the required 1x16.
I just don't know. What I do know is that mine won't enable multi-GPU on the 9800Gx2 without issues. I can't return my 9800Gx2 - only have it replaced by another if it breaks. So my board has to go.
What is a good, fairly cheap ~$150 intel board that isn;t too hot and will run a E6700 + 9800Gx2 *for sure*. BTW I use DDR2 ram and have a Xi-FI soundcard.
