So i wanted to go the Networking route. The local college offered what at the time looked like a very decent course. So I did my 1st year ( common to all majors, ecom, prog, netw). So i was a network major. Now this summer they have changed alot.
Ecom and programming majors are now combined into "Software and Internet Development" Networking is now "Technology Support Major".
The program information is here:
http://mhc.ab.ca/programs/info.php?program=28
What i care about is the stuff under "Technology Support Major" (formely networking major with some changes and a new name). We are being told by the college that it is still a great course (of course). how ever I would love to see what people who work in the feild think about that course.
I am still very much wanting to be a network major, but is this still the place to do it?
Lack of Linux/Unix/FBSD classes for a network major?
Look forward to your opinions
