are "F" type cables able to carry antenna signals for wireless 2.4ghz lan?

i made a mistake in ordering connectors and such, too much confusion with F and TNC and N and others.

Joony... ally I can say is... IMPEDANCE!! If you need a 75Ohm connection... or 50-ohm connection... then I think you need the appropriate wire... and the connector really wouldn't matter too much.

However... I've rarely seen any 1Ghz stuff with those type of connectors... stuff at 2.4 (or like Cell phones), have their own type of mini-coax cable that is all gold plated and stuff. Again... I think as long as the impedance matches your aplication, I don't think the connector is a big deal, but at that frequency I'm not totally sure. At that high... small things begin to matter... you may need to make sure you have a true X (50 or 75) ohm conncetions.

Try the HIGHLY TECHNICAL Forum. That is a beter place than off topic for this type of questino.
