My brother builds sunrooms/deck additions onto homes. He was injured badly, with a cut on one of his hands that required a lot of stitches. He wasn't able to work for nearly a month because the hand takes a while to heal, and well, he does physical labor.
That was before Memorial Day weekend. He still has not received any workmans comp, but has done all of the filing necessary with his company (which is a crappy company to begin with).
Does anyone know the law regarding this? I was looking around online, but honestly I can't make out half of what it's saying. Isn't there a set time frame on when they have to give you workman's comp by? This was like 4 months ago...
