Need info on thermal paste for the gtx 260!

The gpu is getting hot,Idle is at 58c, ambient is 68f and idk if its clogged or just bad thermal paste.I hit it with canned air and a lot of dust came out but temps are still high.

Wondering if I can use cpu thermal paste and do I need to replace the thermal pads after I take it apart? I would like to reuse the thermal pads for the ram/ vrms since i don't have any after market.

Nvm,I decided to take it apart and reapplied new thermal paste.Idle temps are back down to 38c,pbc 31c.Not sure about vrm or mem.

Was amazed at how much thermal nvidia puts on. I tried to apply a similar amount and used the line down the center method instead of the grain of rice.

I took apart my GTX 275 a few weeks ago and did the same thing. The factory grease was all sloppy on mine too.
