Hi Everyone,
After searching everywhere I can think of, I can't seem to find the information I am looking for.
A friend just dropped off an older system:
Sony Vaio PCV-W10 (all in one, monitor, keyboard, everything integrated)
I'm going to re-install the OS and probably double the memory up to 1GB.
What I am trying to figure out is this: Can the processor be upgraded?
It appears to have a Celeron 1.6ghz. Not sure of the socket size or chipset/motherboard they use in this thing to see if this is possible, or even worth it.
Thank you for any input!
***Edit***
Ok, looks like this is the SIS650 Chipset, so that should be socket 478, with 400mhz front side bus. I think this will take a Pentium 4 Northwood "A" processor, which would give a bump from the celeron 1.6ghz w/ 128k Level2 Cache.
I feel like I am stuck in 2002............
Any opinions?
