Right now, I have a Sony CD/RW 8X drive and I have never backed up any data on my W2K Pro machine. I have the Sony CD Extreme software that I have backed up data on my Win98 machine numerous times, but never W2K Pro. I COULD back up all my stuff using the Sony software, but does the native backup program in W2K Pro save system settings and system/security/registry setting automatically? Is it any more efficient than using third party backup software like the one I have here, or no difference?
Anyone know of any sites out there that have a good walkthrough on how I setup something like this, if I use the native W2K Pro backup program. (That is, if the native W2K pro program is the best program to back up data and sys files.)
