Need info on P3 cache speed please

Guys I picked up (2)P3 450 SL35D's and (2)P3 500 SL365's and would like to know the nanosecond rating of cache chips listed below.

  • Toshiba N51385
    TC55V2377AFF-250 <----2.5ns?
    Japan 9906MBD
  • SEC Korea 911
    KM736V604AMT-4 <----4ns?
    TLA263BA
  • NEC Japan
    D43286ALGF-A36 <----3.6ns?
    9931E7075

The L2 Cache on the Katmai runs at 50% core clock -

450 MHz has a 225 MHz L2

1/225,000,000 ~= 4.4444 nanoseconds
1/250,000,000 = 4 nanoseconds

So I would guess the chips are no slower than 4ns

Perhaps intel could tell you...

Thanks Karsin, but I am looking for the exact ns rating on the cache chips I mentioned above.

John, you have your last two correct. I believe if memory serves me correctly, the the first one is 4.5ns. Not surprisingly, you will find your best overclockers in the chips with the fastest caches.
Those Samsung caches are pretty tollerant.

I couldn't find the TC55V2377AFF on the Toshiba website, but based on their naming convention, I'd say its a 250MHz SRAM chip, or 4ns.

The KM736V604AMT didn't produce any results on the Samsung Semiconductor website either, but I'd say its a 4ns chip based on their naming convention.

Interesting enough, the D43286ALGF didn't produce any results on the NEC website either. I don't know NEC's naming convention so your guess is as good as mine.

Weird how I couldn't turn up any results in all 3 websites...are you sure you've gotten them down correctly?
