I'm about to purchase one of these but I was wondering if anybody knows how long the anti-virus subscriptions last for? i.e., I want to buy the one that will provide updates for a longer duration than the other.

chances are that both of them will be for one year, but I'll let someone else on the forums confirm.

Found it at trendmicro's web site - one year just like every other AV program.

Spyderm and jadinolf, thanks for the heads-up.

It's always for a year.

I wouldn't recommend PCCillin. Trend's corporate version is great though.

I have had more luck with NAV than PCCillin (which just caused constat headaches on my XPPro box).

I have an OEM of PC-cillen. Came with my Asus motherboard and it has been good to me. Includes a firewall.
Also, I went to trendmicro's web site and used their online scan feature for another PC of mine. It found a 5 viruses/trojans and quite a bit of spyware. AVG, Adaware, and Spybot combined missed these items. So, I'm left with the impression that PC-cillen is pretty good. They are very prompt with their updated definitions too. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day even.

I think Norton is good too, but it makes my system somewhat sluggish by comparison to PC-cillen.
