Well,

Got these when I bought my dually combo. Boy, this fan is loud as hell and wife starts to get annoy so I better fix that or my duallie is out of the house. Imagine, one is loud enough and I have two :(
Question is what is my best option? I am hesited to get another 60mm fan (cooler master). I more toward 80mm adapter and put in some quite fan without sacrifiying the CFM. Tell me wats your mod and how quiet it is.

thanks.

ahh jeez, i couldnt imagine having TWO 'screaming bitches' in my pc. I had one and used it for about 8 months, then about a month ago i got so pissed off with it that i went to CompUSA and bought an adapter and an 80mm Antec 34cfm LED fan.

Problem is that before going, i thought the stock fan was 32cfm so I figured 34 would do as good, but turns out the stock fan was 36cfm. So as long as you get something 36cfm or up, you should be fine cooling-wise.

Much quieter, 7337rpm avg cut down to maybe 2600rpm :)

I just want to buy a manually adjustable LED fan that really pushes the CFMs at highest setting. I could run an adjustable at highest setting, push some 38cfm, and itd still be quieter than the stock fan!

is adapter really pushing that much air out? I mean the funnel does work right?

I ran one on two different O/C'd XP's, one a Palamino, the other a T-Bred "A", for about 4 months. The cooler with adapter and 80MM fan worked well with both chips.

It's gonna go into the new system I'm building, in conjunction with the T-Bred "A".

well yes yes there is a problem with air coming back out the top, i forgot what its called. i suppose all funnels will have this problem. just ensure that they dont have leakage problems.

not really sure what else to reccommend, its a pretty simple mechanism :)
