Ok all....I Think im gonna make the switch from a P3 to an Athlon. Im looking at T-Birds 900Mhz and Above. There will be some slight overclocking with it. I need to know of a good stable Motherboard. Preferences being...4 DIMM Slots if possible, no ISA, Socket-A form Factor etc. Also a good place to buy the Board and Chip from as well. Thanks.

The Asus A7V is great, I have a TB 900 @ 1ghz and she is going strong.

Iam from Canada, so I know lots of places to buy it in Canada, but no the US as well, other people will be able to help u lots there.

If you're planning to oc, there aren't many choices really. Right now, there's the Asus A7V Jonny already mentioned, and there is the Abit KT7. Both seem to be quite good boards, the latter seems to be the choice for easy overclocking, while the Asus A7V has the best performance in benchmarks. There are reviews for both on the big techie sites.
In some weeks, the MSI K7T Pro2 board will be available, too. There's a rather positive review on Anandtech, and it seems to be on-par with the other two once it is available.

I would get the ASUS A7V but if you want an ISA slot get an Abit KT7, if you are interested in RAID get the KT&-RAID I wanted to have an ISA just in case so I got the Abit KT7 and I plan on getting another hard drive so I got the KT7-RAID. If you get the A7V you can get a huge fan and heat sink on the processor. Either board is an excellent choice.
