I forgot what it's called, but it works like hard contacts and "reshapes" your corneas while you sleep. When you take them off in the morning, you get better vision, but it only lasts temporarily (few hours) and then your back to your old vision.

There's another procedure that's going through trials called corneaplasty that you might wanna investigate.

I saw the report on it and this is true. Wear them for a few weeks, remove them and you can see perfectly for a week or two. Then you have to wear them again. Why go through the BS?

Because its a pain in the ass being blind when you are about to go to sleep or wake up in the morning and can't even read the time on the clock or anything. It also beats having to take em on and off every single day, especially when you have a lack of sleep and your eyes are already burning. Or how about when its really windy/dusty and the weather is dry and your contacts are hurting your eyes or they fall out.

From the story I remember you had to wear them every night, and it was about $400 per retainer lens?

My cousin is currently using these (don't know the name).
She's only 13 years old, vision is decently poor (it won't work if your vision is past a certain poorness level), she's used them for several months, and her vision is almost 20/20.

Cost for both eyes, about $1000.

I haven't heard anything about your vision returning to normal poorness after extended non-usage.
