I hope this is the right place to post this:
I am considering 2 printers , the canon i960 and the i900d

the i960 has 3072 nozzles (512 x 6 colors)

the i900d has 1536 nozzles (256 x 6 colors)

Do more nozzles mean it will have a better picture or use more ink??

any opinion would be appreciated!!
thanks

the number of nozzels was also my concern but as macro2 said it only effects print speed. a 4"x6" takes abot 37 seconds on an i960 but about 1.5 minutes on the i900d.

canon is offering a $100 rebate for the i900d and $50 for the i960 if purchased along with select canon cameras. i just bought an a80 and decided on the i900d since it has a few more features for essentially the same price as the i960.

This also means that the i960 could have less trouble with banding in large areas of solid color as the head carrage has to make fewer passes.

Peace,
