i am buying p4 1.6a and asus p4b266 motherboard
i cant get good quality (brand0ram in my area.
i can use samsung or pqi
i need total help in overclocking p41.6a to !!!!!!!2.4ghz if it goes
please help me and tell about ram multiplier ratios and vcore voltage and fsb
at what combination it will be stable?
is anybody using same combo? :)

good quality DDR memory is good at overclocking, so you can keep the FSB/SDRAM ratio to full 1:1

you need to set the FSB/SDRAM speed to 150 MHz to get to 2.4 GHz, any PC2100 (133 MHz) DDR will do 150 MHz quite easily. As for core voltage, about 0.5V over stock should be good enough.

just dont go straight to 150 MHz, try about 5 MHz at a time and 1 MHz at time after 135.

If you get a REALLY REALLY good chip then maybe. You might have to up it .1 - .15 above stock (1.6-1.65V) to get to 2.4 GHz. No big.
