hey.. am currently in HS and wanna start a club under the supervisoin of my Physics professor... Need some ideas regarding what could we make in this club .. I was thinking about making an RC car or robots........

Thanks

How about an RC car or robot that can be controlled thru teh intarweb? It's only been done a gazillion times but... maybe you could put a physics spin on it somehow.

well it'd be nice if it had some element of physics in it...

by intarweb, u mean the internet?

well gonna be applying for a grant from school which would approximately get us $5000 ( professor said that theres a 90% chance that we'd get the full 5000 usd ) .. Wonder what kinda equipment could i buy with that money? 🙂

build a homemade tesla coil...
For $5000, you can buy an awful lot of wire...
Then you can sit around after school winding coils for the next few months.

hmmm nice idea.... my professor is a big fan of Tesla too so that'd make it easier to convince him ..

However, the purpose of such a coil is only to produce high voltages right? Can it be of any use in a high school?

thanks much 🙂
