need ideas for a vacation

Alright, planning on going on vacation with my girl the third week of august but can't really finalize where.

Live in MD, and wouldn't mind driving like 6 hours to go somewhere nice and stay in a hotel a couple days. Any ideas??

Friend of mine went to cedar point couple weeks ago, sounds like a good time. Maybe somewhere in NY.
 
If you've never been to NY, then come on up. Take in a Broadway show, see Times Square, all that jazz. Get a hotel in Queens tho', so you can park your car for free, and have a cheaper place to stay.

okay now that thats off my chest, check out my aruba pics in my sig and go there ... best time of my life and i cannot wait until next summer when I go back.

well, doesnt HAVE to be 6 hours away, im willing to drive that much if i have to.

Oh and theres no way I would go to ocean city for vacation, maybe for a day if i was forced to... thats it.
 
dbot cedar park is like 9-10 hours from MD, atleast from the silver spring area.

i looked into it a few years back but never ended up going. i hear its badass though.
