Need IDE/Sata Advice

I just bought a new rig which included a new motherboard (EVGA 650i Ultra). I'm using my previous IDE optical drives (one cd-rom and the other a cd-rw) along with two IDE hard-drives. I found out that my motherboard only has 1 IDE port and supports 2 devices at the same time. I need advice on whether I should get an IDE to SATA converter, or an IDE controller card? Also, should I put the optical drives or the hard-drives on the motherboard IDE? Thanks

P.S. Being that I need to re-install windows the option needs to be bootable.

I would add the IDE controller card and leave the exisiting drives as they are.

As you replace or upgrade drives, then go to SATA. I would have my main boot HDD on the mobo's IDE port.
