so i bought an onkyo HTS780, and i forgot to buy audio cables and video component cables. DOH!

so which ones would you recommend? I'd like both to be $20>

are the ones on shoponkyo suffice for the job?

*patiently waits for YOyoYOhowsDAjello...* 😛

If you have a Sams Club membership, they have some nice Phillips cables at fairly good prices for a B&M.

The ones at ShopOnkyo should be fine. Or you can get some Acoustic Research cables from Best Buy.

the ones at BB seem a bit expensive, that's why i wanted to buy cables online.

bump. and also, should i use an optical cable to connect to the DVD player? sorry i'm a noobie when it comes to home theater systems.. 😱

I've always preferred coax, but either way, because it's a digital signal - that particular cable is the least of your worries.

I'm on my gf's parents computer back at home from college 😛

Looks like the component cables at shoponkyo are the same python cables I got from cablesforless.

I have three component cables from them and they all work well.

For audio cables, optical cables you can get for cheap from cablesforless or partsexpress has some too. Digital coaxial you can just use an RCA video cable for the signal.

Is that the kind of audio cable you meant?
