i need some good hip hop artist/song recommendations. i like pharcyde, jurassic 5, and a tribe called quest. what else should i check out. oh and the less swearing the better. gratuitous profanities get on my nerves.

edit: specific tracks would be a big help. thanx :)

I haven't heard any good hip-hop in a long time. I basically stopped listening to it...moved on to rock.

The whole rap / hip hop / etc scene has really gone downhill over the past couple years, IMO.

Heiro too but good luck finding that :) And I'll agree on Common

ok, from the bands you listed & stating no gratuitous swearing I guess you are looking for a little more positive hiphop ?

Try Anything from Blackalicious or Quannum (both groups are kinda the same group - just one is kinda a 2 man thing & the other includes the whole group) they also work a lot with dj Shadow (also good - try Psyence Fiction)

gotta 2nd some votes here;
