sorry about posting here guys, but I need this like right now... What do you guys do to get the retail heatsink off of a socket a processor? I normally deal with 3rd party heatsinks, and this one is really tough, anyone have some cool tricks? (I need to get this cpu out of this board and into a new one for a customer like now) Thanks.

If you freeze it overnight you should be able to snap it off easily with a hammer.

Use a flat head screwdriver to push down and pull out. There should be a little section on the end of the clip for a flat head to fit in.

Be careful not to let it slip out though. If you slip and scratch the MB you could cut a wire and kill the board.

just be careful. you dont want to jam the screwdriver into the mobo... that would be bad..
