i just got my 2 home computers networked to play UT, Quake II, and Red Faction. They are networked together via a Crossover cable.
the problem i am having is that i have really bad lag on one of the computers. Even when its not connected to the other computer if i start a multiplayer game and just try to run around the level by myself i still have terrible lag, i dont understand it. It dosent matter if i play by myself or have my other computer connected if i start a multiplayer game my main computer has really bad lag. It dosent matter which computer is the server either. It will do it on UT, Quake II and a little bit on Red Faction, but not much. I havent tried anyother games yet
