i had win 98 installed in it and i started getting a problem that when i would shutdown my computer it would always restart... Then I installed PC Anywhere and when i restarted my computer it no longer booted up... It will restart itself everytime windows tries to load.. So i put in a new hard drive and reinstalled windows.. but i installed win Me.. and it was doing the same thing about restarting everytime i shutdown... So im thinking its hardware. And then last night i went to turn on my computer and now it wont turn on anymore. does the same thing, restarts when windows starts loading.. I have a p3 500 on a intel vc820 with 128 of rambus, a matrox g450, and an intel lancard. Anyone know how to fix this? thnx

Does it stop if you uninstall PC Anywhere? Also, did you add any new hardware right before the problem started like the lancard? Are you running the newest drivers on all of it? I didn't know rambus worked on PIIIs, but that's beside the point.

If its hardware it sounds like bad memory, cpu taking a crap, or any other hardware crapping out. Also when does it restart when loading windows.
