im getting a duron 800mhz with an asus a7v i need opinions on how much u will think i will get on it, farther is better but needs to be stable, i will also need help on the o/c part cause im not a big overclocker YET, so anyhelp will be greatly apreciated
 
I'd expect at least 900MHz. Please look at some of the other threads for details, but the general gist is:

1. Unlock the CPU: connect the L1 bridges on top of the CPU.
2. Make sure you have decent cooling
3. Up the multiplier using the A7V's DIP switches till its maxed out.
4. Up the FSB under the same principle.
 
what type of cooling should i get, im gettning the retail package but i can get any other type of cooling im saving my self almost $1000 dollars building this comp, just because i wanted to get a 1ghz p3 with a rambus mother board and rd ram but the new p4's are now out and imthinking about replacing the motherboard, cpu and possible memory around june or so.....
