I'm way behind times with video cards, coming from Socket A and a 9600 AIW video card! I'm going to build a new system primary for HD video editing & encoding of ripped BD, Hauppauge HD PVR & Canon HG21 HDAVC/H.264 home videos. I will have the need to have 1920x1080P display on a 22-24" screen and often on a 42-50" HDTV via HDMI output. I really need to know what the minimum budget to mid range video card I use to get seamless HD video? No gaming. I know an i7 is the best video encoding CPU but I can't afford it, so I'm looking at a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, Phenom II X4 965 or a A8-3850 APU, any input on CPU's would be great, especially the A8 with the IGP & additional video card Xfire setup! FM1 socket seems to be a dead one, have heard about a FM2 coming soon? I'm leaning towards a AM3/AM3+ MB so I can upgrade the CPU in the future. I'm assuming 8 GB's of RAM is OK... I can go with 16GB if necessary??
Thanks!
Thanks!
