Ok. So, i've taken some HD video on my Sony AvcHD Handycam (model number: HDR-TG 1E) (MPG files) and i'm trying to import the video files to my Mac (to edit in Final Cut). Now, when i play the video back on the camera there is both video and audio, however, when I plug it into my memory card reader and open the drive on the mac for some reason...there is NO sound on the video files. Can some one help me out? Thanks
 
Any chance the sound is stored separately? Can you open the files in VLC?
