need help

i have a raptor hdd thought i had saved most info, but i did format the hdd with windows xp cd. previous os is xp pro sp2. how can i recover the previous info... really need the help please.

Have you written anything else to the drive?

If yes, you will have lost some data, if not all.

Try getdatabackNTFS or Spinrite6, although in your case I would try the first option.

Try a partition recovery utility -
The best to try would be something like Acronis Disk Director, or Paragon.

ok the demo didnt find any previous files after that format..

If getdataback doesn't find them, the next option I would use would be spinrite6 - if no luck, after that, only something like Encase might be able to do it.
