Hi, I'm trying to overclock my setup. The setup is: 64 3000+ Winchester, DFI Ultra-D mobo, Geil Platinum ddr500 memory (2x512mb)
I turned the fsb/htt ratio down to 3x as I should of course then started upping the htt on the processor in small increments, when I reached an htt of about 215mhz, it would post fine but when the windows load screen comes on, it just randomly restarts. The memory settings were on auto the whole time. So I tried upping the memory voltage slowly. After I upped it to 2.7V with htt at 215, it ran fine went it windows great. Of course I didn't want to stop here as I know this processor has much more potenial then that. I went to about 225 and had the same errors again I upped the voltage this time to 3.0V (The memory is compatible with voltage from 2.6v to 3.1v). It ran fine and all got it to 230 and then I have these problems again, I don't think I should go higher on the memory voltage, as I believe it's pretty high already. I also increased the cpu voltage to 1.4V just to make sure but of course that still posts fine. Does anyone know what could be the problem in this case?
Thanks in advance, Chris.
