I was browsing around in a forum and came across someone mentioning that they had to set in their BIOS in their MOBO 128MB mem to 256MB mem in order to fix the problem they were having when they switched from a ATI 9600 128MB card to a BFG 6800ULTRA. I never did this when I installed my Leadtek 6800GT 256MB video card to replace my 9600SE 128MB so would I be affected?

I don't understand this. Can someone explain? If it helps, I have a ASUS P4P800S motherboard and a P4 2.8Ghz HT processor.
 
Probably what they're talking about is switching the AGP aperature size in the BIOS. If you didn't do it, no big deal. All it does is allow the info to be traded faster. If you want to change it go to your BIOS, video settings, and choose the AGP aperature size. I have an ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe and mine is right in front so you should have no problem finding it. I can tell you from experience, that it makes no big deal w/ gaming (got a X800 Pro), but for benching it helps.
 
With 256mb on your card, I would hope you don't need to worry about AGP aperature. It's sort of "overflow" memory space where your vid card would use system ram if necessary. The only problem I ever had related to this was solved by actually lowering my AGP aperature.

If you're not having any issues, I'd leave it alone. If you want to tinker, try running 3dMark and see what scores you get with different settings (64, 128, etc).
 
if you play doom III with AA on, or HL2, FarCry, etc AND your system has 1GB of ram OR MORE then set the agp aperature to 256. this is just overflow memory for your video card; and if you play the latest games with AA at 12x10 then your card can sometimes need more than 256MB of ram.
if your system has 512MB of ram, leave it at 128MB.
