NEED HELP!!!!

I just put up my new office at home and cannot seem to be able to get the internet on my PC. I am doing everything correct. My Cable is going to my cable modem and Ethernet to my router and the two ethernet cables going to my eMac and PC. Of course, my eMac sees it in a flash but my PC is always the one to give me a headache.

I am not running it through an uplink cause I figured that did not matter, but I tried and it still will not work. Any advice on what to do on the PC ide of it. I have also tried cliking 'repair' on my network settings and nothing. It say I either have no connecton or limited. Can someone help me.

Many cable companies track MAC addresses of new machines that try to access the internet. You may need to call up your cable provider and have them walk you through the steps to add the new computer into their "allowed" list. That's one of my major beefs with Cable providers. Many require you to register new computers you put on the network.
