Need help!

I just connected and configured my router.My friend and I try to connect to the network but his computer doesnt show up. What should I do? I have win 2k also now his name shows up on my comp now but im getting network name cannot be found when I try to log into his computer.

Are the workgroups matching? You can also do a manual connection by their IP instead, and the name should resolve itself.

Make sure that NETBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled in TCP/IP Advanced Properties on both machines. If you still can't see the other computer in Network Neighborhood, I'd install NETBEUI protocol on both machines.
