Hello,
I have a Gigabyte GA-7vrxp. I thought this board was a 333 fsb board. I looked on Gigabyte's site, it's says I can use upto a xp2600+w/266 fsb. The fsb333 is N/A which means does not support.
I'm wondering if I can use a 2500+ barton. Or do you think it may be better to just buy anotherboard to go along with the barton.
Thanking all who reply in advance for their help

I wouldn't risk buying a Barton for that board, and, personally, I wouldn't get another board. You can get good performance with the 2100-2600+ 266FSB CPU's. If you overclock them, performance might be as good as a Barton. If it's not as good, it will only be slightly less, and I think you will be happy with it. Peace.
