I'm getting my hands into working with acrylic. My next project is to make a water resevour out of cut acylic panels. Only concern is how to join them together. I forget where I've read it but some say that you can dissolve acrylic in either acetone or formaldayde. Only problem is I don't know where to buy either of them (Nail Polish remover, e.g. watered down acetone, isn't strong enough).
Anyone have any suggestions on where I can by either chemical (stupid college campus store doesn't sell outside of chem department) or have an alternative to how to solidly and reliably join them together? Preferably, I'd like to hear from people who have actually done this with some success.
