need help with XP Home ed.

the power to the house shut down and now my pc will start to boot up sometimes all the way to the desktop then shut down and reboot again and it just keeps looping like that. sometimes it will come up to a blue screen and check for file integrety or somthing like that and then it will move along and then reboot.
Now I can run it in safe mode but i dont know what to do to fix the problem,

Any suggestions?

Start up in safe mode and check the event log and see what's going on. You may want to boot the CD and run a repair from the recovery console if you can't determine anything concrete.
