Hi everyone,
I want to know if it would be possible to modify the contents of my Windows XP Pro CD and then burn the modified image to a burnable CD to support additional hardware?
Here is what I am trying to do -
I am working on a system with no 3.5 floppy drive, nor can it use one. (long story...) The people here recommended that I use the floppy drivers for my Promise IDE card to get it to work for a clean install, because apparently the XP provided drivers don't work.
So I want to know if it is possible to place the Promise provided floppy drivers in place of the XP provided drivers on the CD, so they will be used instead when I use the XP CD to boot and begin a clean install with the Promise card connected to the drives.
If not, is there *any* other method I can use to get the drivers to be used by XP Pro other than by use of a floppy?
Thanks!
