I'm running WoW on a:
A64 3000+ w/1Gig RAM
ATI 9800 Pro w/128MB
Windows XP Pro
and all the drivers should be up to date.
After about 30mins to 1 hr of playing, I get terrible artifacting and smearing. It starts manifesting itself when I die or if I look at a map. When I'm dead, its almost like a snowstorm. Its nearly impossible to see anything. Once this begins regular play starts acting strange. You can see the graphics drawing themselves on the screen and eventually the game crashes. A quick reboot of the game fixes it until its starts up again.
What could be causing this? I hear it may be the graphics card overheating but it seems strange because I've never had this problem with HL2 or any other game I've played.
