Need help with wireless adapter.

Hi all,
I have a USB Linksys wireless adapter (WMP54G) which connects wirelessly to my WRT54G router. Today, due to a memory problem I ended up wiping the drive clean and reinstalling Win XP Pro. I seem to have lost the installation cd that came with the wireless adapter and I can't install it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Gary

don't they have the software/drivers available for download? that's gonna be your only choice, unless you wanna call 'em up, pay like $5+shipping for the disc, and then wait 2-4 weeks or so.
or, find somebody else with it, and have 'em make you a copy of the disc.

Linksys provides drivers and utilities on their website. However you don't need the utility if you have WinXP. XP has built in Wifi support.

Hi guys,
Thanks for replying. Well I managed to get the software installed, but now although I've shared some files, made sure the workgroup name is the same, etc. I still don't see an available network.

Did you hide the SSID on your router? If so be sure to type in the SSID in the wireless control panel. Did you turn on WEP encryption on the router? if so enter the WEP key in the wireless control panel.
