Need help with winXP and usb 2.0

I just purchased a system with a Leadtek Nforce2 motherboard (K7NCR18D-Pro). When I install winXP w/SP1, the usb controller is detected automatically. I want to use the drivers that came with the Leadtek motherboard driver CD, but each time I delete the USB controller from the device manager and redetect new hardware, it detects the same controller.

Does the driver that comes with winXP SP1 support USB 2.0 (ie, do I not need to use the ones that come with the CD?).

Thanks in advance.

SP1 does support USB2.0. When installing SP1 it overwrites the third party USB 2.0 drivers. Just check to make sure you got the following drivers:

29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Usbport.sys
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Usbhub.sys
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Hccoin.dll
29-Aug-2002 5.1.2600.1106 Usbehci.sys
